Small Grants Program
Qudurat is providing small grants ranging from $25,000 to $50,000 to empower high potential Lebanese NGOs, which serve vulnerable groups across the country. Qudurat supports these NGOs in their efforts to further develop their capacity, scale their impact and sustain themselves.
This allows us to provide short-term relief to NGOs at a crucial time.
Our recipients should have an annual budget of less than $400,000, service vulnerable communities, and have no political affiliations. They must also be working in full transparency and without discrimination in dealing with beneficiaries regardless of gender, religion, political affiliation, nationality, and sexual orientation.
We fund between 5 to 10 NGOs yearly, depending on funding needs and availability.
Accelerator Program
Our Accelerator Program provides capacity building support to a number of selected NGOs through professional volunteers. We aim to strengthen our partners’ organizational development and resource mobilization capacity.
The program is tailored to the needs of each NGO and focuses on program development, financial capacity, resource mobilization, and sustainability. Each NGO is paired with experts who run a capacity assessment of the organization and develop a capacity-building action plan that includes both individual and group trainings.
Beirut Emergency Response Coalition
Following the explosions in Beirut, NGOs rushed to the scene to clean up debris, provide emergency assistance, reconstruction services, and support for the livelihoods of the victims of the neighborhoods most affected by the blast. Once again, nonprofits stepped up when the government failed to fulfill its duties.
There was an outpouring of donations following the events This windfall of donations has helped NGOs make a meaningful impact in these communities and addressing blind spots not addressed by international aid.
Qudurat is currently collaborating with Impact for Lebanon, Lebnet, LIFE, and Fondation pour le Liban– NGOs that have received large donations from their donor base. Qudurat coordinates aid and disbursements in order to maximize impact and avoid duplication of efforts.
Qudurat supports the donors by:
- Identifying the needs on the ground by collating the multiple needs assessments initiatives currently being conducted by various parties and doing field work where necessary.
- Being informed of the inflows and outflows of donations with participating NGOs
- Receiving and reviewing proposals and grant applications
- Recommending the amount, type, and form of the disbursements to NGOs selected by the coalition.
